The vineyards of Burgundy are World famous because of its good quality wines. Wine villages such as Pommard, Meursault, Gevrey-Chambertin speak to the imagination. It demands a lot of craftsmanship and knowledge to produce such a good product. Would you like to know more about Burgundy wines and the art of wine tasting? Then this four-night package might be something for you!
- First day. Arrival at the hotel. You will start your stay with a home cooked three-course menu, of course we offer a wide selection of wines.
- Second day. A visit to a wine domain in the area south of Beaune. First an explanation about the wine growing in Burgundy. Then a visit to the winemaker, where the wine grower explains the process himself. After that a lovely meal with multiple courses and matching wines. Each wine will be explained to you by the friendly and good English speaking staff.
- Third day. A 26 km bike ride through the vineyards of Beaune: the Côte de Beaune. For the lunch break we will provide a nice picnic. During the route you will see wine growers working and many cellars are open for a wine taste.
- Fourth day. A visit to Beaune, the wine capital of Burgundy. A city walk will take you to all the sights. From there you’ll have many options; a visit to the museum of mustard? The wine museum? Or the famous Hospice de Beaune, founded in 1443 as a hospital for the poor.
Included in this package are: a welcome drink, 4 nights, 4 breakfast buffets, the day in the wine domain with lunch and wine tasting, the bike rent with lunch box and the routes. Not included are any entrance tickets of the third day, because this is spent to your liking.
