Conditions - Gîte

  1. RESERVATION

After receiving the reservation, we will send a confirmation by email based on availability. We ask you to pay the full amount of the stay, including deposit and final cleaning, within one week. The reservation is final as soon as we receive the payment. If payment is not received within one week, we have the right to release the gîte for rent again.

  1. CHANGE AND CANCEL

Any changes can be discussed via email or telephone contact. When Auberge Le Grillon agrees to the changes we will send a new confirmation, incorporating the changes.

In case of cancellation, the following amounts will be charged:

  • If cancelled up to 60 days before the start of the stay, we will refund the payment in full.
  • In case of cancellation within 60 to 14 days before the start of the stay, the cost of renting the gîte will be refunded 50%, the deposit and final cleaning will be refunded 100%.
  • In case of cancellation within 14 days before the start of the stay and in case of cancellation of a reserved stay, the entire amount of the gîte rental is due to us. For a stay that has not yet begun, cleaning costs and deposit are refunded 100%. For a stay that has already begun, the final cleaning will not be refunded and the deposit in accordance with the conditions.
  1. ADDRESS

On the day of arrival, the key to the cottage can be picked up between 4:00 and 7:00 pm.

  1. DEPARTURE

On the day of departure, the cottage must be released no later than 11:00 am.

The cottage should be left neat and tidy at the end of your stay. This includes:

  • cleaning up the cottage,
  • putting everything back in place,
  • emptying trash cans,
  • cleaning up the countertop,
  • put the dishes in the cupboard clean.

In short leave the cottage neat and broom clean.

If the gîte and/or garden are left in such a poor condition that normal cleaning hours are not sufficient, the landlord has the right to deduct additional cleaning hours from the deposit.

  1. LIABILITY

Auberge Le Grillon cannot be held liable for damage, theft or loss of guests' property. The same applies to injuries caused to guests, regardless of the cause. Entering our premises is at your own expense and risk.

Guests must provide their own cancellation and travel insurance.

  1. OVERVIEW

If Auberge Le Grillon has to cancel a reservation due to force majeure, the payment made will be refunded. Auberge Le Grillon accepts no liability for any other damages suffered by the guest, no further claim for any compensation of any kind can be made.

  1. OBLIGATIONS OF THE TENANT
  • The cottage should be occupied by the tenant, his co-tenant, and/or his visitors with due care and diligence, respecting the tranquility for the surroundings.
  • When leaving, the tenant always closes the windows, turns down the heating and locks the door.
  • Our intention is to provide you with a clean, well-maintained home. Please report it as soon as possible, if you find upon arrival that there are deficiencies or defects.
  • Please also report to the landlord any damage caused by yourself during your stay or at the latest upon departure.
  • The cottage is non-smoking, smoking is allowed in the garden if necessary. You can ask for an ashtray from the landlord.
  • The cottage may not be used, for parties, drinking parties, or other similar events.
  • The tenant does not move furniture such as beds, sofas, cabinets, etc.
  1. STAY GUESTS
  • A maximum of two people stay in the Gîte.
  • Minimum age 12, a minor will be accompanied by an adult.
  • The stay of pets is not allowed in the Gîte.
  1. THE BORG
  • The deposit serves to reimburse any mishaps or damage.
  • The main tenant is liable for damages caused by himself/herself, co-tenants and any visitors.
  • If everything is left in good order and no damage or breakage is found, the deposit will be refunded to you at the end of your stay. Any damages may be deducted from the deposit by the landlord. If damages exceed the amount of the deposit, the tenant will be required to make an additional payment.
