Our story
Hello! Let us introduce ourselves.
We are Clemens and Jacqueline. In the past we have travelled extensively for both work and pleasure. This meant we often stayed in hotels, B&Bs and restaurants, which gave us the idea to one day start our own Chambres d'Hôtes.
In 2012 we moved from the Netherlands to England, where we happily lived for almost 5 years. We really enjoyed getting to know English culture up close.
When Clemens was offered a job in Switzerland, we packed our bags and moved to beautiful Switzerland. We enjoyed four years of mountains, cheese fondue and somewhat unexpectedly, Swiss wine.
The idea of starting a Chambres d'Hôtes always remained in the back of our minds. In 2020, between Corona lockdowns, we went searching and found Auberge le Grillon. We fell in love with the old building with its friendly appearance and the large garden. Combined with the versatility of the surroundings, we were sure and decided to buy le Grillon.
