If payment is not received within two weeks, we reserve the right to make the gîte available for rental again.

Any changes can be discussed by email or telephone. Once Auberge Le Grillon has agreed to the changes, we will send a new confirmation, incorporating the changes.

In case of cancellation, the following amounts will be charged:

  • If you cancel up to 60 days before the start of your stay, we will refund your payment in full.
  • In case of cancellation between 60 and 14 days prior to the start of the stay, 50% of the rental cost of the cottage will be refunded, and the deposit and final cleaning fee will be refunded in full.
  • In case of cancellation within 14 days prior to the start of the stay and in case of termination of a reserved stay, the full amount of the cottage rental is payable to us. For stays that have not yet commenced, cleaning costs and deposit will be refunded in full. For stays that have already commenced, the final cleaning will not be reimbursed and the deposit will be refunded in accordance with the terms and conditions.

    Arrival

On the day of arrival, the key to the cottage can be collected between 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

The remaining 50% of the accommodation costs (overnight stays and final cleaning), tourist tax, and deposit will be settled before the keys are handed over.

    Departure

On the day of departure, the cottage must be vacated by 11:00 a.m. at the latest.

The cottage must be left clean and tidy at the end of your stay. This means:

    • tidy up the cottage,
    • put everything back in its place,
    • emptying trash cans,
    • tidy up the kitchen counter,
    • put the clean dishes away in the cupboard.

In short, leave the cottage tidy and swept clean.

If the cottage and/or garden are left in such poor condition that there is insufficient time to clean them within the normal cleaning hours, the landlord has the right to deduct additional cleaning hours from the deposit.

When returning the key, any extras used will be charged. If the cottage is left in good condition, the deposit will be refunded.

If Auberge Le Grillon has to cancel a reservation due to force majeure, the payment made will be refunded. Auberge Le Grillon accepts no liability whatsoever for any other damage suffered by the guest; no further claim can be made for any form of compensation of any kind.
